Review of Once Upon a Time in the Midlands (2002) by Adrian A — 29 Mar 2009
Not a bad film but it does fail to fully engage a viewer. There's too many things that seem inconsistent behaviour for the characters involved and the character of Shirley is an idiot who probably doesn't deserve either bloke to be interested in her.
Also, it mentions the Midlands in the title and has loads of actors from everywhere else except the Midlands in it.
Nice cameos by Vic and Bob.
I wouldn't bother watching it if I were you. It's one of those films that isn't sure if it is comedy or drama and fails to deliver either with any degree of success.
