Review of Once Upon a Time in Mexico (2003) by Alex G — 19 Jan 2011
Robert Rodriguez, th ultimate batshit crazy fun director, delivers the final installment of his "Mariachi trilogy" by giving his audience more than they asked for. Don't get me wrong, everything a fan would want is here, but it stands on its own legs as a film.
It goes over the top at times, as almost all Rodriguez films do, but if your anything like me you end up grinning like your getting your first blowjob. proper blend of crime drama, action and comedy, you could do alot worse on a friday night.
Final Note: Depp brings it in this movie, as he almost always does, and the audience should love him for it. (still waiting on "The Blind Man" trilogy to continue).
