Review of Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood (2019) by Lambo442 — 19 Sep 2019
Long, bloated and lacking in a compelling, cohesive plot. Lots of scenes don't really drive the narrative at all. Two stinkers in a row for Tarantino now. The climax at the end couldn't even save it for me.
I was hoping they'd save Tate in her own residence, that would have been more cathartic for the audience and made more sense. If real history had been unfolding and through a minor twist of events Brad Pitt wanders over there tripping out and saves the day.
Then Bruce Lee could have shown up as Mansen's new recruit, like a boss, and finished his fight with Pitt. Why not, it's all make believe anyway. Great acting from everyone involved though.
