Review of Once Upon a Time in Anatolia (2011) by Aephraim S — 14 Mar 2012
Extremely beautiful in places, interesting at times, but it went on so long that I started to think they weren't going to stop until the EU let Turkey in. Embarrassingly, we also had the feeling that all that time didn't really get us anywhere, until a question another movie-goer asked us on the way out made us realize we hadn't "gotten" it at all, and now things have pretty much fallen into place.
.. an experience which would make it seem unfair to withhold a recommendation. Anyway, very well made and with some stunningly beautiful scenes -- pack some trail mix and check it out.
