Review of Once Upon a Time in America (1984) by Kjetil C — 10 Jul 2009
It takes a pretty incredibly movie to last nearly 4 hours without tiring, but there are one or two directors in the world who've been able to make just those movies and Sergio Leone is certainly one of them.
Shifting away from his roots in spaghetti westerns Leone has crafted one of the finest gangster movies ever made. Easily up there with the Godfather trilogy and Goodfellas. Once Upon A Time In America isn't an easy movie to watch, but it is certainly worth the effort.
