Review of Once Upon a Time in America (1984) by Kim B — 18 Jan 2010
A fine piece of cinematic art (warning a very long piece of art). It's one of those movies you need to watch a second time. The only reason it didn't get a higher rating is because the last half hour is so ambigious that it kind of gave me a headache.
The constant flashing back and forth didn't help make the end easier to understand. However, the actiing, the characterization, themes, directing, and script are amazing.
