Sergio Leone's final directorial film is a beautiful poem of friendship, betrayal, survival and corruption. The film takes place during the major rise of mobs during the prohibition era in America, and masterfully tells a story about a group of friends trying to survive during all of this.

The cast here are all terrific from James Woods in his best performance, to Joe Pesci to Elizabeth McGovern as Deborah and Robert De Niro as the infamous "Noodles". Some people have criticized the film for being too long.

To those people I say "Who Cares?", if you can watch a two and a half hour crappy Transformers movie then you might as well watch another hour or so of masterful storytelling. No Sergio Leone movie would be the same without Ennio Morricones' scores and Once Upon a Time in America is no different.

The film is scored to perfection and the soundtrack really helps you feel many emotions during the film. Once Upon a Time in America is an epic gangster/mobster movie and only second to Francis Ford Coppela's Godfathers and Martin Scoresese's movies of the same genre.
