Review of Once Upon a Time in America (1984) by Antonio T — 15 Mar 2009
An epic movie. Took 12 years into making, because of insufficient funds and the lenght of the movie was too long, about 4 hours. At the premiere of the movie in Rome people got out of the theater like they had a big meal, satisfied.
Probably Robert De Niro and James Woods at their best. The most beautiful story of friendship filled with mystery, intrigue, betrayal, and crime.
Lot of crime a' la Sergio Leone style.
The race for power has just begun in America and a bunch of friends are ready to take over New York and nothing will stop them.
From Prohibition to the Beatles. That's how far it goes.
It takes half a century to realize what happen. Who is the good one or the bad one.

While all of this is happening a mysterious love story unfold at the same time. Again it is going to take 50 years in order to find out what happen. Who is the good one or the bad one.
James Woods one the main characters in the movies said about it: "The best experience in my liife as an actor. ".
