Once is a realistic musical, putting wonderfully crafted songs sung by sincere actor-singers next to a simple and heartwarming story. Once masters a melancholy ending by mixing it with a good feeling of sweetness.
The film also works as a cinematic tour guide of Dublin and some beautiful Irish landscapes.
