Everything about Once seems immediate..reactionary..improvised...and it works beautifully. It's like Carney threw out an idea to Hansard and Irglova and simply said, "Make it real." And they did.
The great thing about Once is that it is memorable...the kinda film that stays with you long after you've watched it...and not just because the music is hauntingly beautiful...
