Review of Once (2007) by Christopher D — 21 Mar 2011
I usually despise romantic comedies. Me and April watched one the past two nights, the first was decent, He's Just Not That Into You, and tonight, Once. Seeing this 80-minute gem makes me appreciate what a romantic comedy should be.
Made for $150,000, compared to HJNTIY's budgeted 30 million, shows that a good script, subtlety, and genuine chemistry between the leads goes a longer way than a star studded cast of B-grade celebrities.
Worth seeking out.
