Review of Once (2007) by Shellyl — 05 Feb 2008
This movie was enchanting, and captures the truth and beauty of making music, writing songs, and falling in love. Sometimes all three are connected, as one can see from how the main character writes lovely songs about his broken relationship.
The scene in the music shop captures that feeling perfectly; it's a gem of a scene, showing, not telling, how music can help cement a bond of love & understanding between two people. It was completely natural, filled with warmth and ambiguity, like real life.
