Review of Once (2007) by Wes S — 17 Oct 2011
If you like musicals and enjoy and good indie drama film then you need to see this one. Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová (who are both very talented musicians) play two strangers who meet one night by happenstance, struggling to put their lives back together after their failed relationships left them pretty much broken and lean on each other for comfort.
Musicals and love stories are not really my style, but the acting was so great and it's not exactly a musical with dancing singing dialogue. It's a melancholy romance drama/musical for today's generation.
Highly recommend it.
