Review of Once (2007) by Ken S — 30 Aug 2013
A very well made low budget movie about two people who connect...it is refreshing to see a movie that doesn't need to have the two romantic leads rush into a relationship, or have sex, or do the kind if typical "they fall in love, break up because of some obstacle, but reunite fir the end" plot.
It is a different kind of love story, and thats why I liked it. The music is great, and the direction is quite good despite the obviously low budget. It was clearly shot on video but overcomes that low-definition look with it's characters and story.
..and the look becomes part of the charm. I definitely enjoyed this one.
