Review of On the Waterfront (1954) by Eduardo C — 18 May 2009
Monumental film about the struggle for social justice against gangsters in New York. Many legendary scenes include Karl Malden's Crucifixion speech while being pelted by debris thrown by gangsters which would be the highlight of nearly any other film but not this masterpiece.
Terry Malloy as played by Brando in what could be the greatest acting performance ever, is the unlikeliest of heroes.
