Review of On the Waterfront (1954) by Ben R — 17 Jun 2009
A grim, hard-hitting flick made when studios weren't afraid to let a performance carry a picture -- and this one has at least three exciting, possible career-bests from the likes of Karl Malden, Lee J.
Cobb, and, of course, Marlon Brando. Worthy of its classic status and yet it still holds up remarkably well today. A genuine cinematic masterpiece.
