Review of On the Waterfront (1954) by Alexa V — 11 Jul 2009
My standard for what a good movie is just shot up astronomically. This is the first time I've watched a movie and immediately wanted to rewatch it. I mean, sure, Marlon Brando's face even in it's varying levels of boxer-face swolleness is easy on the eyes.
But there are so many scenes I want to watch again and again--"Aren't you a fruit cake" "I coulda been somebody" and the final walk ... ah, God, classic.
