Review of On the Waterfront (1954) by Tomass P — 09 Mar 2013
Brilliant on every level - right up to its pious and very troubling ending. The film is what it is, but director Elia Kazan's 1952 HUAC testimony looms darkly over the de facto ghost of Terry Malloy's dead body floating in the murk of New York Harbor.
