Review of On the Waterfront (1954) by Spyros T — 15 Sep 2011
This is the second film I've seen with Marlon Brando and I still cannot get why the guy was regarded as an incredible actor. This is film is very slow going, and Brando doesn't help this fact. The film is based on the politics of the docks.
I wouldn't regard this as a top player for the AFI 100 Movies of all time, and I don't think Brando deserves the title of greatest actor. Here's to hoping that tomorrow's film is better!
