Review of On the Town (1949) by Hanna H — 29 May 2011
New York, New York - it's a wonderful town! This was FABULOUS! Basically the same plot as "Anchors Aweigh", but more entertaining. Not as many Gene Kelly dance numbers, but the songs were better, the cast was better and the energy was just completely different.
It didn't drag on and had really hilarious scenes. The scene in the museum had me in stitches! And each character had really strong and distinct personalities. It was just great. I loved it!
