Review of On The Road (2013) by Mike F — 19 Dec 2012
I felt the passion, and the visuals are quite stunning, but it all jumps around too fast. To that, I'm not speaking of the way the characters were and their lifestyle, but the structure of it all. The people lived fast, but the journey's were long.
None of traveling in the film seemed to have the depth and weight they had in the novel. Again, the performances were strong enough and the visuals had a distinctness, but I didn't "feel" the journey's like I did in the novel.
