This film version of On the Road is disappointing and boring. Instead of spotlighting the adventure, the encounters, and the life stories of the scuffling characters that Kerouac depicted in the book, the film is obsessed with drugs and sex.
The film is boring because "on the road" is not simply watching a car go down the road. It is the adventure of meeting people which the movie short changed.
