Review of On the Road (2012) by Matthew T — 12 Jan 2013
The movie really explores the self indulgent, sexually free, and dramatic adventures in the pursuit of ones own happiness. It has some very poetic scenes through its chaotic exploration, but lost me at times, only to bring me back with some risquà (C) scenes.
Most times the sex scenes do not do anything to further a movie, but the audience is forced to explore questions and character development that other movies would not dare to attempt. With that, I added a star.
If it wasn't for those scenes I would give this too-long, too-forced, and too-chaotic movie a 2.
