Review of On the Beach (1959) by Will C — 16 Jun 2008
Probably the best post-apocalypse movie around. Peck, Gardner, Perkins and Astaire all bring powerful performances. Beautiful, haunting cinematography, too-- if you liked the empty city streets of 28 Days Later, see where it all began.
And the last shot is simply bone-chilling.
