Review of On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) by Jehy T — 01 May 2013
*facepalm* Oh no...no no no. I was SERIOUSLY digging this movie until the "I'll pay you to marry my daughter" subplot started. And I'm sorry, I don't care HOW loyal it is to the book; in that case, the book was badly written.
I don't mind George Lazenby as Bond. I really don't. I found him a bit of a yawn, but at least believable. Diana Rigg is gorgeous and perfect, as she is in everything she does. Telly Savalas (AKA my elementary school crossing guard) was/is a good villain, but not as Blofeld.
I'd have believed him as a stand-alone-villain. I dunno...it had its moments, but at the end of the day, this thing just dragged and dragged, and I didn't give a shit about anyone. And not crazy about the "theme" song.
In fact, Louis, it sucked.
