Review of On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) by Manch F — 24 Feb 2014
The Bond film that almost made me cry. Blofeld is one of the best Bond villains, Diana Rigg is one of the best Bond girls, and this is more of a personal story for Bond. I really dug George Lazenby as Bond (although I never bought him as a fighter, plus some of his outfits were a bit girly.
He is a more subtle Bond, and one who isn't always one step ahead of the competition.), he manages to make the Bond character his own. He's a different Bond, and while he can't match Sean Connery he's still pretty great.
The film does have quite a few one-liners and many chase scenes. I liked getting to see a more personal side to Bond, and this is one of the best Bond flms imo.
