Review of On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) by Derek F — 16 Nov 2015
Toning down the camp just a bit, OHMSS tries to stay closer to Fleming's novels. It has it all: a great soundtrack, energetic fights, Savalas as Blofeld, great ski chases, and of course, Bond's most entertaining disguise yet: Sir Hilary Brey.
Lazenby's performance was scorned, but in Connery's absence he adds a lighter more human portrayal of the Bond character. For being a practical unknown with only one film, he made his mark.
