Review of On Golden Pond (1981) by Will N — 12 Sep 2007
An outstanding cast, a beautiful script by Ernest Thompson and sensitive direction by Mark Rydell adds up to a true cinematic experience. I fell in love with Katharine Hepburn's beauty and strength.
It would sadly be Henry Fonda's last role and one of Hepburn's last strong roles but, luckily for us all, Jane Fonda brought them together. I've lost track of how many times I watched this film in the movie theatre and at home, but each time I laugh and am touched.
With On Golden Pond, Fonda and Hepburn will live forever.
