Playing out like a TV movie, this classic challenges the heart. We could come out of it thinking that it is sentimental tripe or we could recognise that there is indeed some superb writing, performance and observation to enjoy.
Sure it's sentimental, but that is the goddam point. Let it open your hearts and don't be an old 'poop' like Norman.
