Review of On Deadly Ground (1994) by Stefan G — 13 Dec 2012
Now I understand why Steven Seagal isn't taken so seriously, because his movies are just, well, bad. This one in particular tries to string along a blatant environmentalist message that, I suppose, is typical of the 90's.
But here, the characters are so shallow and one-dimensional, it makes the "big oil is bad" message seems all the more obvious. The special effects are lame, the story is borderline stereotypical, and overly paced for what it is, and the action scenes are too far apart.
You'd have to be a complete idiot to fall for this movie.
