Review of Om Shanti Om (2007) by Hari S — 19 Sep 2008
A loud, fun film! What makes the film really interesting is to realize its affection for the all the people to come together to make the film a success â?? the actors, the crew (the credits are amazing!) and the audience; it is very self aware, winking at the audience for the roles that the guest actors play, gently mocking their image.
Formally, it has a little too may elements of classical form, and the symmetries get a little trying after a while. Nice hummable songs, and the send up of manoj kumar was sensational.
