I actually found the plot pretty depressing; he never gets to be with Shanti, he can't change the past, all he can do is try to avenge their murders. All the appearances by other celebrities was totally unnecessary, but I enjoyed it anyway because I like them all.
It started out fun and carefree and ended on a serious note.
