Review of Olympus Has Fallen (2013) by Charlotte P — 18 Nov 2013
A completely preposterous film from start to finish, with Gerry trying hard but never coming off as much more than a cut-price Clive Owen. An outlandish cavalcade of circumstances, of which just one would have tried the patience as implausible, lead to Gerry single-handedly bearing the burden of rescuing the President from being held hostage IN HIS OWN WHITE HOUSE BUNKER.
It goes downhill from there. Having said all that, this was no less bonkers than other recent actioners, so the caveat for anyone thinking of watching this is: you could possibly enjoy it if you are able to suspend disbelief so totally that you completely lose touch with reality.
And once you do that, you will find yourself somewhat enjoying this movie.
