Review of Olympus Has Fallen (2013) by Zach W — 07 Dec 2013
When looking at thumbnail on Netflix, I could already tell this movie was about terrorists. However, I still believe Olympus Has Fallen produced enough action and excitement to keep me wrapped in the movie the entire time it was rolling.
The idea of one man single-handedly taking down a terrorist organization that had just taken control of the White House fascinates me. Gerard Butler does a fantastic job of playing a badass secret service agent with extraordinary military training.
His cold demeanor creates a god-like persona for his character as he executes the Koreans one by one. Aaron Eckhart adds to this with his stubborn and "hard" attitude as he refuses to help the Koreans in any way.
The last star in this movie is Morgan Freeman, and even though his role isn't as big as in other movies he's in, he still puts in a great performance as his character is put under tremendous pressure to save the country.
I would not mind watching this movie multiple times and that's why I believe it deserves a rating of 4 stars.
