'Murica! Fuck Yeah! Kill the Commie bastards! That is pretty much the gist of the story. Nth Korean terrorists lay waste to Washington D.C. and the White House, possibly killing thousands of people in the process, just so they can take the President of The USA hostage.
They didn't account for Gerard Butler's character somehow surviving the carnage and laying waste to quite a few bad guys. This film has all the action film elements along with some good old fashioned American propaganda.
You got Morgan Freeman doing and saying Morgan Freeman type things, with everyone else saying typical action film banter. It takes itself way too seriously, very hilarious, unintentionally, Arnold Schwarzenegger style death counts.
Easy film to watch but nothing new at all.
