Review of Olympus Has Fallen (2013) by James R — 12 Jan 2015
Entertaining popcorn flick that doesn't require you to think that much. I found this White House has been taken over flick much better than the previous one I saw White House Down (2013). Olympus Has Fallen is about the White House being taken over by Korean radicals.
President Benjamin Asher (Aaron Eckhart) has been taken hostage along with his Secretary of Defense (Melissa Leo) and several other cabinet members. Mike Banning (Gerard Butler) is a disgraced former Secret Service agent in the right place at the right time.
Soon Mike realizes its up to him to get these terrorists out and to save the President. The plot is pretty over the top at times, but like I said earlier you know what you're getting yourself into when watching this film.
There's a ton of fire fights and so over the top explosions. This film is rated R and it goes there to the max. Lots of blood, lots of knives through heads it gets kinda crazy. Overall, this ones worth a rent when your just looking for an action flick to check out.
