Review of Oliver Twist (2005) by Paul R — 30 Apr 2006
I watched this one with the Mrs. last night and found it to be most enjoyable. It's classic English lit that I read in high school. I saw an old BW version with me mum when I was a lad as well as the musical version, but I liked this one the best.
A fairly straght telling of the story, but the arting performances are what really made this one shine for me. Ben Kingsly continues to prove his brilliance with his rendition of Fagen and the guy that played Bill Sykes was great as well.
If you like Dickens and the Oliver Twist story, I think you might like this version as much as I did.
