Review of Oliver Twist (2005) by Tristan P — 04 Dec 2010
Not the best version there is. It's beautiful to look at with Rachel Portman's score serving the scenery. Ben Kingsley is a terrific Fagin. However, it deviates many of the interesting plot twists that Dickens created, which were featured in the 1999 miniseries version.
And Andy Serkis was better Bill Sykes than the actor here.
