Film portrays derogartory views of Latinos. Of course the Chihuahua (Alonzo) has a Latino voice and what does he do? Steals a car and says he wants to gamble. The poodle (caucasian) insults the Chihuahua (latino) and the more she insults him the more he wants her.
She makes him look as if he's the lowest and will never live up to her standards however the chihuahua goes for her. Latinos are always the chihuahua dog.
