Review of Oliver & Company (1988) by Christopher S — 12 Feb 2012
Not necessarily the best Disney film but it was during a time when Disney was just about to own the box office. Billy Joel was very good as Dodger and he did his own singing too which I guess was the catch of him doing voice work.
The story was a good adaptation of Oliver Twist but it could have been much better. Considering it was aimed at children, the film had to be toned down. Good pacing of the film and a happy ending, which I think are both Disney staples.
