Review of Oliver & Company (1988) by Jonathan H — 23 Sep 2009
A hip, light-hearted and fun take on Charles Dickens' classic novel, "Oliver Twist". Yes, "Oliver Twist" was about exploitation and child abuse and this movie kind of undermines the original intent/meaning of the novel--- but I don't care.
If you want seriousness, watch the live-action versions. If you want a funny animated Disney film with great songs and fun, interesting characters then look no further than "Oliver and Company." Dodger is probably one of my favorite Disney characters and Billy Joel did an awesome job as his voice actor/singer.
