Review of Oliver & Company (1988) by Joe O — 22 Oct 2009

One of my favourite childhood movies of all time. I must've watched it about 50 times when I was a kid.

I'm so shocked at the low rating. Oliver may not be as funny as modern animated films, but it's enjoyable and heartfelt.

I only just found out that this movie is 20 years old. Wow, it's weird that I didn't know that. But I guess you don't care about that stuff when you're a kid. All I can say is that the drawings are fantastic, and the voice acting is top notch. The story is predictable, and sappy, but you gotta love it. The songs are hugely catchy. I'm sure I could recite most of them even now.

Childhood classic, and so underrated.
