Review of Oliver! (1968) by Benjamin W — 26 Oct 2010
It's interesting to see how singing and dancing can almost remove the depressing aura of Dickens. Almost. Right up until the end, this film was a lot of fun to watch, and the choreography was amazing.
One does wonder how they came up with the idea to pair Oliver Twist with the musical genre, since I would never peg the two as being compatible. And yet, here we are.
