I can understand why it's so crontroversial, and at times both characters really annoyed, but it's thought provoking and William H Macy is brilliant in it. I've seen him play a lot of harmless, goofy people.
He's everything here. Condescending and smug, to defensive and vulnerable, to desperate and vicious. He's great in it.
