Disappointing. The remake is misguided on so many levels. Perhaps the biggest problem is a complete lack of tone. While the original tone was dark, curious and electrifying, the remake varies between comic-book ultraviolence and attempts at heart-strung sentimentality.
It can't make up it's mind what it's trying to be, and fails at everything...sadly. I cannot recommend watching this despite the promising cast.
