While Lee's style and direction are impeccable and the performances exuberant, the film can't overcome a jumpy, labyrinthian script that occasionally reaches greatness but collapses under extremes and a grotesque, nausea inducing finale.
An ambitious, respectable effort that pushes the envelope a bit too far. Takes the cake from "Killer Joe" as the most f****d up movie I've ever seen.
