Review of Oldboy (2013) by Amaury S — 11 Mar 2014

I'll be honest, this was a better than expected experience. Brolin was great and convincing as the protagonist, and the action is done really well. It was expertly filmed and well written. Definitely not better than the original, but it works.

Elizabeth Olsen did well as the love interest and Sharlto Copley was great as the antagonist (who is a much weaker villain in comparison to the original's). This didn't deserve all the hate it got, it was a good rental.

See it, I don't care.
