Review of Oldboy (2013) by Don W — 21 Jul 2014

Scene for scene, and character for character, the original Oldboy is better. That doesn't make Spike Lee's version as bad as everyone is saying however. The story remains the strong point (even with a couple puzzling changes).

I may have rated it higher if it didn't seem like some of the "style" was randomized, and key changes to the lead hadn't changed him from a likeable character in the first to a very unlikable character in the remake.
