Not sure why everyone is so down on this remake. There were a few scenes that were exceptionally weak compared to the original but, for the most part, this is a very enjoyable and loyal remake, with enough unique elements to be interesting to fans of the original.
Plus, they got rid of the weird Japanese stuff that might not translate to the average viewer.
