Review of Oldboy (2003) by Nate G — 12 Apr 2012
Oldboy starts out kind of like a modern-day Count of Monte Cristo, and then takes a turn for the bizarre. Throughout the entire film there's something that Dae-su doesn't know and that's known, but at the same time you feel like he's missing something too.
And finally at the end the bad-guy lays it on with the horrifying truth. There was a lot of pleasing visuals in this one, along with really solid acting and a very original script.
